Bright purple. Ripe cherries. Laurel in the Mediterranean herb bed. Fiery, juicy stuff, with hints of dark chocolate.

South to southwest / green and blue schist; quartz veins
Vine age
13 years. The vineyards were cultivated as such for centuries, but were closed down in the 1940s. The soils were allowed to rest and regenerate for 6 decades.

October 1, 2017 – 10 hl/ha
Fermentation
Spontaneous fermentation in steel tank, pressing after 18 days, malolactic fermentation in steel tank and barrels.
Storage / Removal
13 months in steel tank and new 500 l barrels; 12 months in bottle.

13.0% alcohol; acidity 6.1 g/l; 1.1 g / l residual sugar

Optimal drinking maturity / drinking temperature
2020 – 2030 / 15 – 16°C
Recommendation: decant the wine at least 3 hours before drinking.
