Now you have a luxury problem. A wine that comes from our best and oldest vines, grown on the slate soils of our most valuable sites. Its aging of several years already brings out the most elegant nuances of a Kékfranko. However, its excellent shelf life allows it to climb to an even higher level. Made for those who can wait a few years. But – who can?

Blaufränkisch from the Stuala site
Location / Soil
South to southwest / green and blue schist; quartz veins
Vine age
12 years. The vineyards were cultivated as such for centuries, but were closed down in the 1940s. The soils were allowed to rest and regenerate for 6 decades.

07 October 2015 – 10 hl/ha
Fermentation
Spontaneous fermentation in open fermentation racks, pressing after 21 days, malolactic fermentation in 500 l barrels
Storage / Removal
30 months in used 500l barrels. Unfiltered filled
Analysis
13.0% alcohol; acidity 5.5 g/l; 0.8 g / l residual sugar
Filling

Optimal drinking maturity / drinking temperature
2021 – 2033 / 12-14°C
Recommendation: decant the wine at least 3 hours before drinking.
